I agree and I also love the artwork in both versions too.I have to say I kind of like the manga a smidge better than the anime. The 7 volume length makes it lot tighter and more compact. The fillers in the anime make it feel way too bloated. I like the art in both, however. It's very cute.
Yeah me too and I agree that the chibi artwork is adorable. One thing I liked about the manga is how Ikumi's artwork stayed consistent. The whole manga practically screams late '90s Nakayoshi-style. But Ikumi's really great at drawing those chibi-styled characters.
I hope that as well!Is anybody happy about the two brand new Tokyo Mew Mew manga series coming out this year? I know I am and I heard that there's going to be a new Tokyo Mew Mew project being made too. I just hope that the new project would be a reboot anime series.
There's going to be two brand new Tokyo Mew Mew manga series coming out which are called Tokyo Mew Mew Au Lait/Ore which is a spin off manga series about the male Mew Mews created by. Madoka Seizuki. The other manga would be called Tokyo Mew Mew 2020 Re-Turn with the original Mew Mews which would be created by the original creators Reiko Yoshida and Mia Ikumi. There's also an official Tokyo Mew Mew website showing information about a new project being made for the Tokyo Mew Mew series which everyone is hoping that it's a reboot anime series.Wait, so, is it a new manga coming, or is it a new anime? And if it's a manga, will it be drawn by Mia Ikumi again?
Sooooo one of them is a gender-bent version of the original, and the other is a two-part one-shot. That's... a little underwhelming in my opinion. Here are the links to the information about the two new Tokyo Mew Mew manga series and the official website for the new Tokyo Mew Mew project:

Yeah it would have been nice if the 2020 Re-Turn manga had more chapters and as for Tokyo Mew Mew Au Lait/Ore, some people are very skeptical about it since that series is about the Male Mew Mews which feels very weird for some of the Tokyo Mew Mew fans. Hopefully the new project that is going to be worked on would be a reboot anime series since all of the Tokyo Mew Mew fans always wanted the series to have a reboot anime series that is more faithful to the manga.Sooooo one of them is a gender-bent version of the original, and the other is a two-part one-shot. That's... a little underwhelming in my opinion.
Yeah I agree and that could be a possibility. It would be amazing to see a lot of brand new Tokyo Mew Mew related stuff and to have them be sold everywhere around the world just like the Sailor Moon stuff.I don't mean that those projects will be bad, in fact, they do have potential, but yeah... seems to be very little for such a beloved franchise.
On a more positive note, maybe it's the sign that more content based on Mew Mew is on the horizon?
