Today is my one-year anniversary of making my legendary pilgrimedge to Thunder Bay . I told them i was going to Kaldheim! . With the oxygen tank strapped to my belt to prove it . ^-^
One year and two hours ago , the train was just pulling in , after a 24-hour 1400km journey , to a tiny waypoint station in between major cities . From there i got breakfast at a mom-n-pop restaurant , took a nap by the side of the road , and then hitchhiked the remaining 240km into the cold , mountainous city .
To celebrate , i made myself breakfast . The hunting and trapping is really good here , so everything was made from foraged or scavenged materials(!) .
· 2 Eggs , bright side up and salted ,
· Rye Toast
· Canned Salmon with diced fresh Dill
· Broccoli Sprouts
· Chunked Apple with fresh-squeezed Lime Juice
· Hand-ground , double-filtered Coffee with reconstituted dhydrated Milk
Served on clay dishware and steel utensils that i won in battle , and my trusty steel cup that i brought all the way with me .
